    Opinions on Stock

I wondered if any of you guys had an opinion on this stock's markings. With all the fakes/stamps around these days I'm wary of just about every stock I see.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. I believe it to be legit. There is typically a double atamp on Inland stocks, though this one appears to be a triple stamp.

This stock is for a very late M1icon or early M2 Inland. It's actually an M2 stock. You would need a Inland carbine with a serial number that is near 7 million for it to be correct.

I just don't hardly worry about stock markings anymore. In another 10 or 20 years it won't matter anyway, no one will be able to tell the difference between the fakes and the real ones.

    - change it back -

It's a sad state of affairs, but I did the same thing. There's so many faked stocks these days I look at the markings before anything else.

At this rate we may start looking for stocks with no CC.
