    Barrel ID Help

    I'm looking for a little help Iding a barrel. It's in a Colt 1911a1 I just bought, serial # 943xxx, all parts are correct but not really sure about the barrel. can't Id it with any barrel illustrations from Poyer and Riesch book. Thanks, Gene

    barrel

    My totally correct 1942 Colt has a G stamped on the bottom of the barrel. Hope this helps.
