    SRS check on Springfield 1903

Was wondering if I could please get an SRS on my Springfield 1903 S/N 404784. The rifle looks to have not had any rebuilds so maybe sold through DCM. Just wanting to see if I can find some information on it. Thanks in advance.

It is not SRS listed, but there were quite some 1910 NM rifles around this serial. Would you mind sharing a few pictures of your rifle, especially showing the bolt and the receiver rails?

Sure no problem this rifle also has what looks like someone's three letter initials stamped into the receiver just behind the gas relief hole on the right side see here: https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=67561
The stock with numbers is a single cross bolt S stock the rifle came in, I have since switched it to a C stock. If you need more pictures just let me know

Your pictures aren‘t the best - you should use natural light instead of artificial light and flash. Then it is much easier to tell. Your bolt looks blued and therefore I would exclude it from being a NM rifle.

Sorry about that but those were the best I could do with my phone. This rifle is starting to bug me. It matches a 1910 built rifle but no markings on the stock, except for the numbers on the top of the butt. Still has a straight bolt and doesn't seem to have ever been rebuilt. Maybe a gun club rifle?

It could had been a NRA purchase which escaped the sometimes later applied stamp on the magazine guard.

That's possible don't think SA started stamping NRA on the rifles until around 1915. Is their a list of rifles sold through NRA out there?

For what I know these were first sold without the stamps, then later with stamps. Those which were without stamps then got stamped afterwards. But not everyone went to get his rifle stamped.
