WTK: Info on an Artillery Carbine

I have what I believe is a Artillery Carbine in 303 Brit. It appears that the metal and stock has been refinished and blued sometime in it's life. The previous owner has passed away but I know he has had this Carbine for more then 40 years and he got it in this condition. I cleaned it before I took these pictures. He never fired it. The wood looks like it could use some oil. There is a faint cartouche on the right side of the butt stock. It can be seen in one of the pictures.

I think the serial number is 1887. It appears on several parts and can be seen in my pictures. There is also Arabic Script on the butt Plate and a number on the trap door that does not match the serial number.

What type of value can I put on this Carbine? I need to sell it for the widow.
