Cross on Early Remingtom 03 bolt

Picked up an early (1941-42) Remington '03 bolt. It has an outline of a cross (like the Swissicon flag) on the rear face of the root handle...A sub inspector's mark, perhaps. Thankyou in advance. SF!

Yep, earlier Remington M1903 rifles and parts had symbols and were sub-inspection stamps from production/manufacture.
