A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. What you need now is a slightly damaged bayonet, the type we'd describe as 'out of spec' with a rounded tip with either white or red/white/red banded grips to go with it. A good use for an otherwise unserviceable bayonet

Many years from now, collectors will be bragging about having an original unaltered Springfield Sporters rifle with original intact inventory aluminum tag. Possibly the latest version of Numrich will have reproduction tags. Consecutive serial numbered tags??? Wow, the possibilities.

And I'll bet it would cost as much as the rifle. Still, you are right it would go nice with it for display.
