    L42A1 CES

I was recently lucky enough to find one of the L42 era plastic SR telescope cases in excellent condition to add to the L42 CES
It was a good excuse to get the kit together and post a few pics

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Nice kit - just need the binoculars & compass !!

Mine just has the original leather case.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

Well. well, well, - the L42 with CES that was for sale on Guntrader for £19,500 has sold.
No idea of actual achieved price, but the prices have only been going 'one way'.

Enfield, Lee 7.62x51 L42A1 Full CES Bolt Action Second Hand Rifle for sale. Buy for 19,500.
