A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... All I'll say is beware of Camo helmets, most are fake, including many that made it into books. Most SS decaled helmets floating around today are also fake. There are many quality fake decals these days. Made for restorers, reenactors, etc. Some will use these to try to add value to " No decal" helmets. Decal drop orders, and rebuilt helmets caused most Germanicon helmets, even M-35s to be in the "No decal" configuration. Thing is, go back to the 1960s, and most helmets floating around were in the no decal configuration. Fast forward 20-30 years, and now we see many more SS, and Camo helmets.....another 30 years, even more....

Here is one we have at The Parachute Regiment Museum at Duxford I thought you would like to see.............a true original Germanicon fallschirmjäger helmet which we had valued recently at £40,000 pounds.
So if you see one bear that in mind, don't let it slip away from you and use these images from ours to ensure you get a real one!!
Ollie who the guy talks about works for him and has brought out some cracking books on PARA stuff.

I have one Gil. Single decal with the rough finish. It's complete and in excellent shape.

I had to buy a 1937 98k with the "eagle L" Luftwaffe marks to go with it!

We have ours in the open which on advice is the best form of storage. Its on a shelf with others of similar value, most from Crete and Monte Casino and brought back by Regiment members. The provenance of these are the stories from those who took them and therefore the price.
Keep them safe Brian they go up in value like most things Germanicon Milsurp with the original stencils attached.

That's just like I like to see them. Been there, and done that. Many had camo added, but that always comes with a bit of doubt, and suspension, as so many have been faked over the years.
