    Playtime

Took four SMLE's to the range to check out, a 1918 Enfield Sporter, a 1913 Lithgowicon, a 1916H Lithgow and a 1938 Lithgow.

Checked zero on each at 25m, only the '16H needed sight adjustment, then a five shot group out of each at a C type target at 100m.

First two groups were centre hold, both printed a bit high, the second two groups were a balance hold.....and dammit, printed low....Murphy still loves me

Yellow markers indicate 1918 Enfield in plastic stock.

    White markers are 1913 Lithgow.

    Red markers are 1916H Lithgow.

Large red spotters are 1938 Lithgow.

Just goes to show, with all the supervising and running around I do, I still manage to scape up time for a shot now and then....even if they aren't that good.

6 O'clock hold, but with the Figure 12, the aiming mark (or figure) is 'balanced' on the tip of the foresight blade.
Trying to save Service history, one rifle at a time...
