A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Watch ebay constantly. Set up the search, check it daily. I've eventually gotten most all of my missing hard to finds that way. May take months, may take years but eventually, one will show up.

I'm still looking for a rear sight for a Chassepot, A cleaning rod for a Gras, A cleaning rod for a Dutch Mannlicher. Some of these things are not easy.

Honestly not to be a jerk, but the only other real way to likely acquire one is to buy another 1893 with the magazine in it. I have had to do that with certain rifles in the past.

Sometimes too good a deal is too good a deal for example if someone is selling a AG-42b without a magazine for cheap its because if you do find a magazine it will cost at least half the value of the rifle to acquire it.
