    odd 303 ammo package

My friend emailed me to ask if I knew why the ammo was packaged this way. I have never seen it like this before so I post the picture here to see if anyone here knows

    RG38 and RG39

The label on the box has a date of 11.12.58
The boxes only hold 15 but the label says 35

Box label has MF on it - so Footscray 1958?

Not sure what the 15/35 deal is, but I would go with a Footscray post-war repack.

Looks like an error on typeset and poor proof reading on the labels....

Most definitely Footscray still worth preserving not only for the complete full packet but the typo, I have a 15 round unopened packet of WWI 303 cartridges the packet is stamped 1915 or 16 with a cloth band sealing the packet you can if judiciously lifting one side of the top flap make out the RN tips of one set with the WWI charger clips of the others
