Geoff it's a perennial problem at Bisley as others on hear will testify, we are slowly turning things round and getting a level playing field.

I have been running an RMS for around a year now. It holds zero despite regularly being taken off the rifle. Finish is lower than on the real deal. optics are ok, in good light there is little to choose between it an my MK3. As mentioned it is a copy of the MK2 so has the 1 moa clicks.
The most noticeable difference when using it vs my MK3 (other than the phaff to zero) is it is less forgiving on eye relief, however perfectly workable.
It was fitted by a decent gunsmith (Fulton) and they had to use different pads, although I understand others have shimmed the RMS pads.
All in all I’m happy mine, it has only had about 1000 rnds and I imagine it will not wear too well. However for the price I’m happy with, and would buy another if I had a needy rifle.
If you are UK based and want to see one PM me, bisley and Wiltshire based.

I would want the Mk III scope as I have a L42a1 that needs a scope . Wish they would give a date if they are going to make it and sell it ?

Michael..Can you confirm that RSM mk2 scope click value is 1 MOA ?? I read some reviews and they told they are 2moa clicks as other reproductions..
About the RSM mk 3 repro, the pictures show a 1946 production so I supose the bdc is calibrated for 303 not 308 ..But as I told you not much info about it.

I can confirm it has been corrected since the review, I read that one as well, I think it was writing by a member here who I’m sure will comment soon. . It is 8 clicks each way, how accurate they are to minuets of angle I have not exactly measured, but effect on target implies they are not bad.
While I cannot comment on it’s longevity I am happy to provide any feed back I can. I found it a rather stressful purchase given the lack of resent reviews and rather negative historic feedback.

If you want some videos, photos ect I’m happy to provide them. The only context I have to had is a somewhat odd but original No32 MkIII QC model, a No42 and No52. I am afraid I’m not prepared to strip it but anything else within reason just ask.

I appreciate the offer, unfortunately I'm a few thousand miles away in the middle of the States... I'm not concerned about the pads or bracket as the rifle currently being built for me is using pads from Fulton and the bracket came from Roger Payne. Currently I plan on using a vintage K3 scope I have but if I could top it off with a decent quality repro I'd prefer to.

I have no regrets so far in using an rsm scope, in place of my original plan of a K3, given my budget doesn’t run originals for all my shootings rifles.
