I reverse engineered the Mk. 3 scope mechanism for RSM some time ago and the last I spoke with them they were working on it.
It was an interesting venture with lots of drawings and photo's so don't loose heart as it MAY be along early in the new year.
    I HOPE!!!!!!
Just an update on the progress with the RSM Mk. 3.
I have been so busy that I have not had time to even keep up even normal correspondence.
    Cheers,
    Warren

I still have one more MkI for a currant 1942 T I'm restoring but I have a 1945 T up next so I hope the MkIII will prove worthy.

    Thanks for posting this update.

Interesting to see there new Mk3 scope, my only criticism based on looks is the turret casting is all way too angular and square.

Interested to see how these are in practice.

I am assuming the Mk. 3 scope they are selling is the one I did the basic print for.
I will see if I can get one for an evaluation as I did that with the Mk.1/2
The maker tighten up the Mk 1/2 and with a few modifications and with what I did here they are not bad.
One repro I modified has several thousand rounds through it and probably as many miles on the back of an ATV in the wilds of Canadaicon. At last contact with the owner was still working well.
If that is not a torture test I don't know what is.
The mechanism needed some tarting up on the RSM scope, but the optics were primo.
Optics were excellent and they also did a later Mk.2 type cell in some. This from my optician.
I would compare them to a Tasco (tm) in quality and optics.
I'm looking at getting some new clicker plates made for the Mk.1 and the repro scopes to get them down to an acceptable MOA. Whether it will happen I don't know but in talks right now. Machine time is expensive on CNC equipment and you need huge numbers to break even. I found that out when I had some runs of lenses for the No.32 and Pat: 18 scopes done. Everyone that wanted them got scarce.

No need to look on the bay of evil, as RSM are already listing the Mk3 on their website, see link here....

That’s good to hear... With the release of the MkIII I may take a chance on the repro scope.
