    GCA Journal

The Fall issue is at the printer, should start to go out by the end of the week. Some very neat stuff, including the cover story of a 7-41 rifle pulled from a burning B-17 by a gunner. Great story and great rifle!

No, it was one of eight shooting club Type 2 NM's sold to the members when the club disbanded. Nobody knew it was cracked until the new owner took it apart.

The serial number is 277138 and the barrel is dated S-A 7-41. This rifle was recovered from a B-17E that was
destroyed in Java in 1942 and brought back to the US in Dec 1942
