    purchased years ago from west coast retired navy armorer....

    Winchester model 12...12ga ...30in modified choke...sn 1039957..no military marks..he said he purchased it in the mid/late 60s when his base was selling off some excess firearms....I know Winchester has no remaining records on model 12 production but was wondering if any of you guys would have an military records information on this shotgun....seems like 1945 production....thanks

    It's actually an August - Sept. 1944 gun. At least that is when the serial number was applied to the receiver.
