    The Ross Rifle Story

I imagine this has been asked a hundred times, but I'm new here and I can't find it in search, so......

Does anyone know of an economical source of this book? "Economical" means NOT $515! And second-hand at that. (Yes, I did a Google search.) No one's eager to part with one, for obvious reasons, and this has to be the only book in the world that hasn't been scanned by somebody.

The guy on forgotten weapons posted a vid about a reprint of the original Ross Rifle Story. There are apparently a few dozen left-overs from the reprint run. He posted the vid back in September, so there is a likelihood the remaining books may be sold out.

    Here's the vid:

and a quote from the description.

"To order one (for $100 plus shipping, via PayPal) email him at ross.rifle.story@sympatico.ca ."

Hope this helps, and best of luck.

I got my copy on eBay a few years ago and got it for over £100 but less than £150, if I remember correctly. Just keep an eye out for a copy and one will turn up eventually but you are unlikely to get it for "peanuts".

I just received an email from the gentleman. He is currently out of the 2nd printing, but is looking for a printer for a 3rd printing. He agreed to keep my request on file for a copy.

I just got a response back from someone named "Michael" and, as you predicted, they're sold out. He says he's trying to source a printer to do a second run, but for now, the cupboard is bare.

On a more positive note, I got a third-hand report that someone had been offering an excellent quality scanned copy at a very fair price, but I have yet to find any definite contact info. The search continues.

Sorry to hear that. I just saw the vid about a week ago (when I took delivery of my Ross MkII).

I was able to buy the book many years ago, when I first bought a sportered Ross Mk 3. They were still cheap back then!

Well, best of luck in your search for the book. One will turn up eventually, when you least expect it.
