    ID of 1903A3 rear sight

I have a new in the wrap rear sight for a 1903A3. The only marking on it that I can see is what looks like an "X" in a funny script on the left rear outside of the base. Any guess as whether it is Remington, Smith Corona, or some other make of replacement of sight?

Thanks for any help. I wanted to be able to describe it before I sold it.

    Mike in NC

    Thanks Chuck,

My 55 year old eyes thought it could also have been an funny scripted "H" as well as an "X", but I wouldn't have had any idea that was for Hadley tool. Now I know it is a contractor replacement sight.
