Newly inherited 1903 - help please

    Good evening,

I was lucky enough to inherit a Springfield Remington 1903. After doing some digging, I believe it to be a nickel steel model due to the serial number.

Any info would be appreciated as to what you do/dont see. To me, it appears to be all original and in 80-90% condition... but I may be missing something.

    Thanks in advance.

Also, I found three brand new 1903 barrels, one is blued. The two non blued ones are still wrapped in the original cosmolineicon. I will get pics of those later.

Your rifle does indeed appear to be all original. Most of the Britishicon rifles sold and returned to the U.S. were in original condition. And your rifle's receiver probably is nickel steel.

Thanks for sharing. And Merry Christmas!

What a shame, as usual OP comes and asks one question and leaves. Reads the first couple answers and is gone... "Last On 12-04-2019 @ 05:58 AM" Twenty days ago...
