    Newly inherited 1903 - help please

    Good evening,

    I was lucky enough to inherit a Springfield Remington 1903. After doing some digging, I believe it to be a nickel steel model due to the serial number.

    Any info would be appreciated as to what you do/dont see. To me, it appears to be all original and in 80-90% condition... but I may be missing something.

    Thanks in advance.

    Also, I found three brand new 1903 barrels, one is blued. The two non blued ones are still wrapped in the original cosmolineicon. I will get pics of those later.

    nice Remington. serial has nothing to do with heat treatment on the Remingtons. as all are safe to fire, lend lease as well. very nice score.
