A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. That'd be usedguns.com.au. The rifle is a gussied up M700. Real M40A3's are built by USMC weapons techs. You can buy a commercial copy, Stateside for $4,225US.

I used to be a minor expert & major bore on the M40 series.
In fact I built a few reproductions using various original & period correct items.
There are a few glaring omissions in the build which should be obvious, but the most obvious would be the lack of clip (6 & 7 digit series) & or lug slotting (later E & G series).
