The point that I was trying to make in post 6 is that the chap may very well be a Vietnamese or South East Asian national, born in the region. His apparent, to some, European/North American appearance (link, post 3) could be explained if his father was a European or North American soldier stationed or passing through his country around the end of WW2. Judging by the chap's apparent age and his appearance (link, post 3) I would have thought it a likely possibility.

If the chap is also trying to make some money out of his appearance, I would have no idea if he is or isn't.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Wouldn't be impossible that both parents were full or part Eurasian either. Such people were often simultaneously envied and reviled in Asian societies, and still are today in some places, which tends to make them seek their own company. Children of mixed parents can indeed turn out to be entirely like one or the other ancestry, depending on how the genetic dice roll.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.
