Springfield Armory m1903 #1026825...And Question...Did the Corps always leave vice marks when rebarrelling or were some USMC '03s without them? Hatcher hole yes, unmarked scant stock w/ replacement handguard...?

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Rack # on side of buttstock in 1/2" letters-C S and below that 1 2 6. the 1 may have been scratched out...Any ideas?
