So What Did you Get for Christmas?

My wife and I have reached that stage where she doesn't really attempt to buy me anything anymore and I have free reign to pick up my own things. Since I'm into 50+ year old stuff you never know what you're going to find on any given day, probably for the best. My "Christmas Haul" so far has been a Polish WZ63 paratrooper helmet, a Germanicon Model 1927 mess kit dated 1937 and an Austrian ersatz bayonet yet to be delivered.

My "real" gifts most likely to consist of jerky, underwear and socks.

The best gift was last night when both daughters and their husbands along with my sole grandson came to the house and then we went out to eat before Christmas Eve service. This is our first Christmas with no children in the house Christmas morning.

Added a 1938 Holster for my 1934 Mauser pistol.

Sounds like you did well over all...I too am in the position no one tries to actually get me a surprise thing as it would likely already be here. I had a better time taking the big Santa bag over to my youngest boy's place and handing out to his five little ones...ten, eight, five, two and one. Today is just the two of us and a nice prime rib roast, tomorrow is my oldest and a turkey dinner. Kind of an ongoing holiday around here.
    Regards, Jim

Got another PASGT helmet today. Don't really need a second one but this one is slightly different and I can put the woodland camo on it. Couldn't pass on the price $38.00. Some seller in the same antique mall had a Spanish M42 that someone mocked up with decals to look like a Nazi helmet. Had $385.00 on it. I brought it to management's attention as it could result in a fraud case against them. They didn't even remove the bracket on the front. Manager was under the impression that someone might have taken the dealer.

Santa came through big time here!! 58mm bore, just the right size for a pool ball.
