Military Aluminium foot locker - What vintage

I have a large aluminium military trunk which I believe they call a foot locker. It has a removeable aluminium shelf inside and is olive drab with plastic coated webbing straps. I am unable to determine what era this was used. Google searches indicate Vietnam although the whole assembly looks to be the old fashioned smooth head rivet WW1 era. Can anyone please shed some light on this. Thankyou.

I didn't look to see where you were located until after. It makes sense why you have it and we don't really see those around here...North America... Also the whole story makes sense. Finding it for you was easy, don't worry about it. No problem...
