    Announcement New Advisory Panel Member!

    Hello everyone ...

I wanted to take a brief moment to introduce you to Jeff "jc5icon", the latest member of our site Advisory Panel.

Jeff is in the final stages of writing the first full-length history of the Lee-Speed sporting rifle which he plans to follow up with a business history of the Birmingham Small Arms Company from its founding to the eve of the First World War. His chief historical interest is the firearms industry and the history of technology from 1850-1914, which he combines with a passion for books and publishing. In 2013, he served as editor and book designer for Lawrence Shelton’s J.P. Clabrough – Birmingham Gunmaker. He is a member of the Historical Breechloading Smallarms Association, the California Side by Side Society, the Remington Society, and a Life Member of the NRA.

Please send him private message if you would like help in identifying or evaluating any commercial or trade pattern rifles, or would like to discuss James Paris Lee, William Metford, the Lee-Speed rifles, the Birmingham Small Arms Co., the London Small Arms Co., or the Britishicon Gun Trade 1850-1940.

Please join with me in welcoming Jeff and thank him for graciously volunteering to help out with his expertise....

    Regards,
    Doug
