Dull Edged M48 Yugoslavian bayonet
I found and bought yet another M48 Yugoslavian bayonet. However, I found this one odd because the edge of the blade is unground to a final edge. I've never had one with this condition.
It does have all the correct markings so I'm not sure what gives with this. Any ideas or is this completely normal?

I would dig mine out if I knew where they were. I think it was pretty standard for bayonets to be un-sharpened. Probably the sharpened ones were done in the field. There are exceptions to this like Japan that sharpened half of the blade. I have to dig out my WWI bayonets soon, if I come across my M48 bayonets in the process I'll let you know how they are.

Mine was the same way when I got it about 2008. From what I understand it was left up tp the soldier./

This is what I have been reading. From what I gather they were not supposed to be sharpened. Of course, I have this information only from the magic of the internet, nothing from official documents or service manuals.
