    Panfilov's 28 - Amazon Prime

Got a chance to watch a really good Russianicon "western front" movie, crowd-funded too! Anyone else watch yet?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Thanks for the info. Never heard of it before, but I'll definitely watch it now.
I have just seen the trailer. Looks like an interesting movie, with lots of action and the guns we all love!

It does look like a good war movie, even though it is mostly all fiction. Made up by the Red Army paper at the time. Most of the 28 soldiers did die, but several of the men survived — including one who was arrested in 1947 on charges of high treason and confessed to having “voluntarily” surrendered to Germanicon troops and later joined a German police force.
Regardless, it looks like a good, mostly fiction movie.

Prime also has a Russianicon series called "The Dawns Here Are Quiet", pretty good stuff! I've never much thought of the war from the Russian POV. It's good to see they're making it known, right or wrong as it may be...
