    Panfilov's 28 - Amazon Prime

Got a chance to watch a really good Russianicon "western front" movie, crowd-funded too! Anyone else watch yet?

Thanks for the info. Never heard of it before, but I'll definitely watch it now.
I have just seen the trailer. Looks like an interesting movie, with lots of action and the guns we all love!

It does look like a good war movie, even though it is mostly all fiction. Made up by the Red Army paper at the time. Most of the 28 soldiers did die, but several of the men survived — including one who was arrested in 1947 on charges of high treason and confessed to having “voluntarily” surrendered to Germanicon troops and later joined a German police force.
Regardless, it looks like a good, mostly fiction movie.

Prime also has a Russianicon series called "The Dawns Here Are Quiet", pretty good stuff! I've never much thought of the war from the Russian POV. It's good to see they're making it known, right or wrong as it may be...
