A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Manufacturer of various vintage rifle scopes for the 1903 such as our M73G4 (reproduction of the Weaver 330C) and Malcolm 8X Gen II (Unertl reproduction). Several of our scopes are used in the CMP Vintage Sniper competition on top of 1903 rifles. Brian Dick ... I have been impressed by the American Shipping companies. It seems if there is any issue, or money stolen, etc. they get to the bottom of it very quickly instead of what happens with Canadaicon Post which is too bad.

Even with the insurance on the items they drag it out, and still don't want to pay. I had a guy ship me a Karabiner 88, which just after he shipped I noticed in the photos the front sight wings were ground off, which wasn't disclosed. He agreed to refund it and take it back as it was supposed to be in original condition. I refused the package, and they shipped it back.

Canada post broke the safety off the carbine somehow, and after about 5 months of fighting, I am pretty sure they refused to pay him the insurance money. Ridiculous.

Bought a Swedishicon M1907 barrel, and it was shipped USPS. Didn't get it after a while, and saw the tracking trail indicated package received. After some contortions, got a message from said USPS relating that it had been dropped off on the next block over. Oops. They would not try to retrieve it from that address, nor tell me what the exact address was. It was the seller who came through in the end, shipping me a second barrel at no charge.

I shipped a package to a guy somewhere here in country and asked him if he'd picked it up. He was a bit slow and get there a day or so later...and tells me they've already signed it out to someone. He eventually did get it after they had to call and get it back. I do a great deal of this shipping for a layman so I unfortunately have far too many bad stories about poor service.

A normal citizen has no idea because they seldom send something they're held responsible for. Mostly Christmas cards and stuff that they neither know or care if it arrives.

I know a man lost a handgun because CP told him it was delivered but failed to have a signature as demanded. They also farmed it out to a sub carrier so the CP didn't even deliver it. The postie swore he remembered delivering it...Christmas eve...yet he didn't even carry it, no signature to prove it either. Still, no insurance for that man. Nice little Walther PP gone...
    Regards, Jim

A pistol I ordered was handed to my wife by Canadaicon post. They didn't ask for I.D. or a signature. At least they got the address right...

It wasn't firearm related, but we were awaiting a package from my brother-in-law with perishables in it. It was shipped FEDX and did not arrive on the delivery date. My BIL called and we found it was delivered on the right date to an address one block away. When he pressed the FEDX agent he was told the driver knew it was the wrong address but did not try to retrieve it. I walked down the street and picked the package up and gave the nice lady some of our wild mushrooms for her kindness. We were both satisfied no thanks to FEDX.
