A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. My knowledge is limited, but i believe those are called ATF mauser. the logo is the crest means something like ankara military factory. Those were the last batch of mausers the turks converted in the 1950s. I believe those were made from ww1 turk 98s and locally made parts to fit the loose 98k- kinda sorta standard they had. Turk mausers are like brazilian made volkswagen buses, the back half is a 1966 and the front is a 1971.

ATF = Ankara Tüfek Fabrikas = Ankara Rifle Factory

Tüfek appears to be the modern Turkishicon word for a rifle. In the literature, the word Tufenk is commonlly used for the old Ottoman long guns.
