    "RARE" British Army Water Bottle

Is anyone here able to enlighten the collecting community about what is rare with this Britishicon army green enamelled water bottle, please? It is currently for sale on a well known internet auction site.

Judging from the tone of the response that I had from the vendor he didn't appear to appreciate being told that his water bottle is of the later type, due to the green enamel, and, in my opinion, not particularly rare.

You know well that it's just a selling point to call these things "Rare" and no matter how common. One hopes a novice will jump and pay "Buy it now" Never mind the aggravation of telling the seller anything...

According to the vendor, in his reply to me, he was "dealing before I was born". How he can know this, since I don't publicly advertise my age online, I do not know, unless of course, he is also a Clairvoyant in addition to being a dealer.

I've seen that "S" next to the Broad Arrow before, CINDERS, on a Australianicon P37 entrenching tool cover. Does it denote Slazenger, does anyone know, please?

I thought is was the same as for the 303's the /|\ S meant for sale or disposal.
