Interesting stuff, Does 3,639 have an SG stamped anywhere on the left side?

Not that I can see but it's got the SG tang with no locator hole.

I wonder if the receiver ring getting shortened came at the same time that the locator hole stopped getting rounded off? The font change was prior to that according to the serials exhibited, but maybe that's just because of the examples I have suggest it while it may just appear that way due to the order they were being worked.

Here's a little more interest. Note the 3.65 at the top and it's locator hole being rounded, and has the longer ring yet has the squattier letter font of the later receivers.

I don't own one, but always wanted a Saginaw being a GM guy.

Can anyone comment on which CCNLs reference the SG receivers used by Grand Rapids.

CCNL 357-11 discusses the SG and S'G' mixture. Not sure if that's what you are looking for.

Thank you, I saw that one. Supposing about by the manner in which they were assembled was it similar to the regular Prime Carbines? Parts wise, I mean.

    S'G' Receivers

I would like to see the right side of the 3639 rec. I think it is just a S.G. receiver sent to S'G' to help them finish their contract. I have S'G' 3637--- and that is what it is you can tell by the way the slide groove is milled. S'G' and S.G. were milled different.
