Before I bid can you guys tell me if this is a fake?

Hi gent's, I have always wanted to add eithe an L42A1 or a No4 Mk1 T to my collection & last year I added the T so I'm a pretty happy dude but....
You know what this addiction is like, you can't only have one

I found this on GB & I've studied the pics but something just doesn't feel right to me, 1st off there is no S stamp on the right side of the receiver like on my T
2nd, the front base pad looks pretty knarly but I guess that could be normal but I'm concerned that bubba took his time with the rear & then got drunk & did the front.
The crate looks legit & I realize that it's missing some accoutrements but I'm OK with that.
Pricewise I think that it's approaching it's max but only time will tell on that issue.

Anyway I would love to know what you guys think before I bid
    Thanks in advance, Mick/NSS

Looks very correct !!! The mag. is not number to the rifle , but is the correct one for the l42a1 as made by ENFIELD .When these were imported into the U.S. they had just the items as shown in the Gun Broker posting . If the bore is very good or better it should sell $5000.00 at the low end to $7000.00 to the high end or more to some one who real wants it . Most likely the bidding will take off in the last hour of the listing !!! The current bid is very low . But who knows what will happen .

    Thanks brother.
I half expected that if it was the real deal then the last day of that auction would be eventful.
I think I'm gonna bid, just don't know how high I'm willing to go.

Couple of things I saw the S is there its just very hard to make out, pic #29 there are vice marks on the inside of the bracket I am pretty sure a real armourer would not use steel jaws on a bracket.
Have a good look at the crown there are 2 distinct dings that are at @8 & 10 o'clock a re-crown straight away bore looks dirty.
I think some enterprising bubba has tried to get those screws out without sweating the solder as thats how the Brits did the screws, not sure on all that crappy engraved serial on the bolt handle it should have been linished smooth then re stamped or engraved, Butt is probably a replacement as there is no S 51.
I would wait till the last 30 seconds and see where the bids at before you have a crack at it , think the last L42 I saw here with complete kit even the plastic brush and bottle had $15,000.00 on it not sure if it sold.

Thank you Cinders, I'm gonna wait until the last day to bid, but maybe I'll just wait for a nicer example. Heck, I've waited this long what's another couple years!!!
I'm just kidding, I am making this rifle a priority this year, I'll get one in 2020, the only thing that would stop me is if I found a really nice ZFK 55 for sale.

You couldn't get my on one of those things. I call them "Murder-Cycles" I'm a Firefighter in Philly & have seen way too many people get killed or just totally messed up to risk it.

Sadly but not all the time, its people in mobile lounge rooms that do not pay attention to the area surrounding their lounge room whilst mobile and mirrors are there for you know decorative purposes why use them as for indicators they work then dont work then work and so on. I got taken out by a woman car driver who ran a stop sign I got banged up pretty good had to throw the bike away lest she T-boned me and I would have at the least lost my right leg or been a statistic. As it was I ended up with my helmet jammed under her cars diff along with the greater part of my body under there as well midday december in Perth it was farqen hot and I was squiding it needless to say I lost allot of bark. So whilst I also own & drive a car I am watchful for M/C's not like some twats I see when I am out riding so don't always blame the M/C riders as car drivers disengage their brain when driving in their lounge rooms. Yeah and I've lost mates as well but been riding bikes on the road for 45 years I still fang it but chose the spot and time as we dont need kilometers to wind out.
