    Mystery Belt?

This belt came with some other items but with no indication as to it's use. I can only assume that it is for holding up one's pants/trousers but I don't really know. The only marking that I can see is "CAMEO" which is stamped on the flimsy buckle. It's total length is 43 1/2".

Is it a waist belt and any ideas on the country of origin, please?

    Many thanks.

Doesn't look like military quality or finish to me.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.
