I just heard a list of all the stores that are never reopening in the US. The list was rather shocking. A lot of big names have been destroyed by this. I like Walmart but am getting tired of the Chinese crap that is all they seem to sell. Looking like the big box stores may be the only ones to survive this. Malls were dying before this happened, the anchor stores are now gone. This will kill the malls also.

As for going cashless. When I figured out I could get free guns at Cabelas, that's about all I use now to get points. Last year was a good year. Free WWI Luger, free type 94 Nambu, free FN 1922. Although I guess the FN 1922 was early this year.

My good luck may be over or this also could be pandemic related. Cabelas will no longer transfer guns between stores. If you want it, you have to buy it outright and have it shipped to an FFL. Not liking this change much. Not sure the reasoning. You had to pay $25 for it to be transferred. But I like that better than paying shipping and having a complete dud arrive you can't return.

Here is a question. Without delving to deeply into the mask / no mask discussion.
If masks are mandated but no mention is made of type or efficacy or how they are worn
what is to keep one from wearing a scarf around your neck or a mask dangling from one ear (like the politicians on tv) or on your forehead or around your upper arm?
If one wanted to be in compliance but not compliant.

The correct way is having your nose and mouth covered.

Here in the UKicon, we are told to use masks in shops and confined spaces....

Unless, you are under 11, so coughing sticky fingered kids don't need to!

Unless, you are disabled, this includes "mental health issues", so that's one in four if you believe the stats....

So a sizable percentage of the population don't have to and won't, making compulsory masks for others fairly useless!

I’m in Switzerlandicon right now. Mask is compulsory only in confined spaces. Otherwise keep distance. Here, I have to admit, they all follow the rules perfectly. Chapeau!

Well Gil, I've got it all worked out, I'm going to become a transgender, so tick in the box for minority and one step forward.

Join St John's Ambulance, (as long as they let me wear my favourite frock and high heels and carry a matching handbag) so emergency services and that's another tick and step forward.

Unfortunately, the downside is I have to sacrifice my, er ...'tick' ... for my plan to work, so perhaps I'll just stay at the back of the queue for the vaccine after all!
