Our governor is still impersonating a dictator. Making all kinds of directives with no input from the legislature or the people. I can't figure out where he is either. Some are saying he's still in his basement. All are saying he isn't talking to anyone other than his advisors. He's busy vetoing every bill the legislature sends to him, that's all I know. He still refuses to take live questions from reporters, all are pre-screened with prepared answers.

Plenty of talk of impeachment but the legislature doesn't have a large enough majority to remove him although there are a few Democrats breaking ranks now. Outside of Philly, if you're a Democrat, you probably aren't going to win re-election if you support the governor at this point. There is MUCH anger all over the place.

My county apparently has not officially opened up against his wishes, they just sort of kinda so-so opened up. Businesses have opened and no one is prosecuting them. The lone Democrat on the County board has joined the Republicans in demanding the governor make it official. No word on a response.

We now have two new guidelines. It apparently is nearly impossible to contract Covid 19 from surfaces and objects now. And leaving hand sanitizer in your car in the summer can cause fires. Don't know whether either is true or even believable at this point. I still plan on using hand sanitizer and keeping it in the car. I have never been very concerned with surface contamination. It takes more than one random virus to spread the infection. Has to be a fair concentration moved from a surface to the inside of your body in enough numbers for a few to survive and reproduce. Not very likely touching a dry surface. Now if someone sneezed on something and it was still wet when you picked it up, that's another matter but that's also pretty disgusting and in normal times, you aren't likely to pick up that item.

Our gun club has opened without fanfare. Long weekend coming up. I mostly took today off with some administrative type activities that kept me busy in the morning. Now taking the wife to our warehouse club. They tell me it isn't busy.

We've had sanitizer in the car for over a year and no fires...

I've had a box of N95 masks in the back of the van for several years. Just noticed them again recently and gave a few to likely older people I know. Around here, with a mega-thrust quake overdue, you'd think most people would keep such things in their cars. It's not like we haven't all seen video of the aftermaths of such events.

I found a box in my shop after Charlie Painter mentioned them, didn't know that's what people are fainting over. I had them here for doing sanding but they never got used. Now they sit and wait...and still haven't been used.

The hand sanitizer is flamable we have put up notices at work more for home than anywhere one needs to be wary of it it should have a warning on the back of it.
As far as catching fire in your car nah not gunna happen unless you put some on a seat and put a match to it the worst thing to have in a car is an aerosol can say left on the dash or back window ledge in the beating sun then you will have issues we found that out the hard way.

We were enjoying our smoko with our S15 Omega all terrain crane parked just outside our workshop when "BANG" WTF!!!! did not know what had happened but we went out and the whole inside of the bottom cab was livid blue from a dy mark can that had exploded from the hot sun beating on it through the windscreen.
I got the job of cleaning it up what a task its amazing where that stuff got to.
That same crane I pulled up on a job got out and noticed a bit of black smoke coming from the engine bay the starter motor had jammed on and caught fire I extinguished it and saved the crane all the guys in the yard were p*ssed at me as it was a heap of junk, they said I shoulda put petrol on it!.

Traffic down our way has trippled since regional zones were somewhat lifted and the cr*p has started had 2 drivers cut me off today one was in a round-a-bout where they decided to cross into my Rt lane from the left against a solid line causing me to brake it is illegal to do that, Cov-19 has still closed the rifle range to large crowds and I saw their policy for shooting and its got to many loop holes to be viable against the virus like no temp gun to check people nope I'll stay away.

Glad you got out to smell gunpowder Ovidio we are still waiting.............................

Yes with Golfers and fishermen allowed to take back their sport (for the time being) until the 2nd wave, us range men have been denied. A simple solution to managing a range, leave it with the RO simple. Firers are apart anyway......lets see what develops, otherwise we might all ask for some membership money back!!

I shot my 1917 and my K31icon today.
Bad results with the yank iron... 35 shots in a 12” target, but all well distributed. I might as well have shot with OO buckshot...
The K31 with diopter, on the other hand...
I managed a 5 shot group in less than 2”. The rest of the performance was less good, but not too shabby.
    But the best part was...breathing...again.
We will overcome this, and be wiser...much wiser...
    And ready!

Absolutely Ovidio! I had my local range all to myself for two hours (felt like 5 minutes), just the Skylarks overhead, the simple pleasures......
