The last of the cruise ships have left our east coast not sure of the outcome there thats the easts problems we still have a cruise ship in Fremantle harbour and they do have sick crew on board so we are really bound to help them on a humanitarium level I don't have an issue as long as strict protocols are adhered too.
We have a case of it in a small country town 26Klms to our east 2 deaths in Bunbury 25 Klm north of us apparently, do not know how true those figures are 4 cases in Busselton which is 27 K's to the south of us so it is starting to filter into the lighter populated country areas.
Still there are people not registering the gravity of whats bearing down on us and it saddens me they do stuff against what our medico's are saying guess they will find out the costly way.

There have been break through's with various controls for the virus the latest is Indomyacin used for the control of head lice this knocks the virus out in 48 hours they are hoping to do trials on humans next month again we hope this all works, Govt is saying the flu shots will be in short supply but will make up the difference and we will all be able to have one.
I do not qualify to get the free flu injection as not being over the age of 65 stiff cheese for me, so open now to a double attack but we are doing what the authorities say as best we can when we do go for supplies it is hard as others do not respect the guidelines for separation like they stand in the middle of the aisle as if it was a normal shopping day.

We were going to go for a bike run today my wife and I but the weather man got it wrong as its raining but it looks to be clearing so we will ride the bikes to the shopping center with our back packs wonder what they would say if we did not take our helmets off, probably refuse our entry to the shops.
The big food chains Woolworths and Coles are introducing limited No.'s in the stores having security monitor so the queues will be like going to a cinema 2 come out 2 go in and so on.
Lastly our hard border sanction comes into play tonight at 11:59 this means if your not in here by then you'll be stuck in the boonies till this is all over I must say that our premier has done as good a job as possible to protect our state.
We may be better placed than poor old NSW, the Ruby Princess cruise ship debacle did not help them one iota we will learn about this tonight on a doco and who is to blame.

Take care all, use soap to wash your hands in water above 26 C, keep the distancing to what the authorities legislate.

Have a good friend in Bunbury where he's a Golf Pro, or was till this all happened! It is a small world indeed. Stay safe mate.

Yesterday I reached my overflow level. Had to stay by myself a few hours. Now it’s back to normal.
I still grilled a great rib eye from Sashi and made pizza in the wood oven.
Then, right now, I made puttanesca.
I’ll post the recipe later. Just to give a positive outlook to everybody

We are turning them away as to keep the social distancing to try to prevent the spread of the virus. Many of these folks still think its business as usual. I am getting the last minute panic buyers looking for a "cheap" pump action shotgun. Those shotguns were the first to go. Ammo is still plentiful at this time. I even had one person trying to do a straw purchase of two shotguns for another person (guy sitting in the car they came in). When I told him if he was doing that it highly illegal and he could go to jail if he was attempting to do a straw purchase for another person. The "buyer" started to shake so badly he could barely walk, being a retired Federal Special Agent it was a true indicator of the person's true intentions. I don't think it has gotten bad yet but if these folks run out of food all bets are off. They will be eating each other, especially those people who have never worked a day in their lives and are fed by the government *it. I did have a lot of correction officers come in to purchase firearms. At least in NJ they appear to be only unloading the prisoners from the local county jails as they do not have to means to protect the inmates from the virus so they are released on the local population. I asked several of the corrections officer how are these "former" inmates are going to provide for themselves in this crisis. They responded, Probably what they did before by socking people in the head and robbing them. I said Niceeee!! Released inmates on an unprotected population. We had several incidents were individuals have spit and coughed on law enforcement officials claiming they have the corona virus. At least in NJ they will be prosecuted for acts of terrorism and assault with a "deadly" weapon, the virus. On lighter note, I found the movie, "On the Beach" and view the movie the other night. Great movie!! But now I have an ear worm from listening to the main song of the movie, "Waltzing Matilda". I have been humming the song while at work. The song does bring back memories of my assignment to the 1st US Marine Division during the first year of the last Gulf War in Iraq as the song is the division song from when the 1st Marine Division was in Australiaicon during WWII. One of these day I will tell you about a surreal incident involving the song, an UAV, flares and RPG rocket fire. Enough for now as I am humming "Waltzing Matilda". Everybody stay safe and healthy.
Well, I had a number of requests for my "Waltzing Matilda" story, during the last Gulf War I was assigned as the G-2 of a US Army Civil Affairs Brigade attached to the 1st Marine Division, General Mattis commanding. Being an Army guy attached to the Marines was interesting to say the least. This was first experience with working with the Marines let alone in a combat environment. After the initial combat we settled in a bombed out Iraqi Army Tank Depot in Ad Diwaniyah, Iraq. Needless to say there was no infrastructure such as running water or electricity. As we settled into more of an "occupational" mode, the nights were deadly quiet and with no lighting, at night it seems like you can physically reach up and touch the stars. Something I have never seen in the states with all of the traffic, lights and general background noise. The Marines each night would launch two UAVs for surveillance missions, one at 1:00AM and another at 5:00AM. The UAVs were propeller driven and would require about a 15 minute warm-up of the engine before they would be lunched by to two small rocket boosters. In that deadly quiet night the sound would carry a great distance and after awhile we became use to the going and coming of the UAVs. But not the local Iraqis. The Marines consider all of their members to riflemen first and then their primary military occupational specialties second. I was surprised early one morning to hear, "Waltzing Matilda" being played by a band. I found out later that the 1st Marine Division Band had just got their musical instruments and were practicing. I thought I was hearing things, some form of PTSD or something. Then the UAV started up its engine for its 5:00AM flight. Nothing like listening to the sounds of "Waltzing Matilda" over the sound of the UAV engine. Next in quick session were several RPG rockets being fired and exploding!! An Attack!! It was like something out of the movie, Apocalypse Now. Later we found out that the local Iraqis were tired of not getting their sleep and decided in their own fashion to target the UAV to stop the noise so they can sleep at nights. Absolutely true story!!

    Cinders,
Don't get alarmed about the poor little 5 year old child, he sadly had underlying health issues, not fit as assumed:
Coronavirus: Five-year-old among latest UK victims - BBC News

The DYNAMICS have definately shifted here in the UK. You used to walk past someone if you had a child and they spoke, you walk past someone with an animal and they spoke, normally bollocks but at least they spoke...............every other time you couldn't get a grunt out of people trying to be civil to them.

NOW EVERYBODY talks to you as if their life depended on it.

Maybe this virus will leave this world in a better shape, where we can ALL treat each other the way you would expect to get treated yourself!!!

I make it a must in my life to greet people I meet on the road. Normally I don’t get much of an answer, but it’s true. It seems that it is changing. That would be a nice change...
