Mostly calm here. Ammo has now been added to what's in short supply as all the local dealers are either out or rationing. I ordered some online. It was cheaper and I don't have to go anywhere for it. Governor has asked for non-essential businesses to close tonight so they are now making a run on the beer distributor. I guess they all forgot that the grocery stores can sell it now. The closures are recommendations at this point although everyone is treating them as if they are mandatory. Two weeks at this point with re-evaluation. Only 70 total cases in the state, not sure if we have a fatality yet or not. A lot being tested don't have it. About a third are coming back positive. My wife is now home. Schools are closed. I'm still working, hopefully my suppliers aren't going to close. If they do, I'm ready I guess.

It's getting stupid here in Alberta, we don't have many cases of 19 virus here but people are emptying the shelves.
The wife is a manager at Walmart and she stays a extra 2 to 3 hours a night to make sure 3 or 4 semi's come in to resupply.
Most mornings before opening people are wrapped around the building, before noon most of everything is gone.
The wife said some guy tried to come across a checkout at a cashier today because he was mad there was no meat.

I'm mad because schools and daycares and special needs programs are being shut down.
Parents need to choose who will stay home to look after their young or special needs children.

WALSH: The Media Wants You To Panic Over The Coronavirus. Don’t Fall For It. Here Are The Real Facts. | The Daily Wire

Meanwhile 57,000 people will die of flu in the USAicon this year.

So why isn't the WHO jumping up and down like a headless chicken over that?

This whole thing is swiftly becoming an ugly farce; ugly because the implications of this induced panic for our economies may be deadly.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.

    Still quiet here.
Today I was listening to the Eagles...

    "I've got a peaceful...eerie feeling...
I know the world ain't going down...
    But I'm already walking...
    Out of town..."

Gentlemen, if everybody keeps his nerves, we'll all come out of this.
It is boring, it is unsettling, it is a situation for which we still don't have clear answers, but it is manageable.
    Keep working.
    Keep the food industry working.
    Keep up the logistical system.
If people get the feeling that food will not be a major problem, we all will come out of this in a peaceful way.
Sincerely, there is an underground feeling that this balance is very sensitive, very precarious. A few acts of upheaval and looting and the whole castle could come down, especially in areas where civil rules are not very much respected.
I don't really worry for us up here. We are few, we are also socially more homogeneous than many other parts of the country, and that helps.
Here people are very disciplined and mentally tough.
I fear for the South... But if everything should start going bad, I know we will still, again do our part for them.
In any case, quiet is the way to go. In order to prevent panic and violence.
In the deep belief that no-one will be left alone.

Take care everybody and let's keep in touch here about this matter.
It might end up showing a kind of parallelism or divergence of situations around the world.
And show us if and where things go better or worse and why. Show some kind of pattern...
Next time we will all be wiser.
Maybe even because of this basic sharing of info we can do here.

I wish everybody all the best and only the best!

We are still just getting wound up the other day a young 7 Y/O girl suffered injury to her left leg when trampled in a store in the toilet roll saga, it is really distressing to see the news and what people are doing, a friend and I have a contingency plan for meat as that is getting scarce we will go to the farm and whack a roo/rabbit or pig or go to the beach fishing flour dough will catch herring etc, to sustain our families.
Over east an elderly couple were attacked in broad daylight when they caught 2 men 20 Y/O's breaking into their shed in broad daylight the husband suffered stab wounds he is in hospital and the wife suffered wounds as well when confronting these low life, I expect car park muggings to occur any day now for items that are in really short supply, wish we had open carry laws here but we don't, again I blame the media for scare mongering with choice words and mis-information.
I am contemplating having a long rifle out ready to rock if the situation gets any worse with break ins over the coming weeks having just a few weeks ago fallen victim to crime again for a 3rd time in my life.................I feel justified

Our state West Au is on the threshold of closing schools but then the parent/s have to stay home to look after the children this may involve hospital Dr's & Nurses which may see the collapse or severe restrictions on the health system, the state does not posses enough testing kits and the No.s of infected people keeps climbing. All the while we wait with baited anticipation................

Stressful times mate when you start to pick away at the minute effects this will have on services, such as Fire/Police/Ambulance/RNLI and all Rescue workers to, all working closely together on shifts.

At least here in the UKicon our Firemen do a four day on, four day off routine, living in the fire stations which might help a little, as long as they remain healthy. People at home, should cut down on emergencies at least, or thats the reckoning I suppose!

Chins up, we'll get through this, as long as the "thieves and vagabonds" don't stretch our patience and the systems too much!!
    Be ready!
