Awesome news here in PA today. The first phase of reopening began with about a third of the state land wise went to yellow meaning businesses can reopen under limited circumstances. That's not the good news however. The first county has rebelled against the governor who last night extended the stay at home order until June 4th to the more populous counties. He also listed a further dozen counties which can open next Friday. Upon not being included in either of these re-openings, the District Attorney of the county who is the chief law enforcement officer announced that she is no longer enforcing the Governor's mandate. Businesses are free to open immediately without fear of prosecution. In addition to this, 5 county sheriffs also announced they will not be enforcing this unconstitutional mandate. It feels good to see people actively pushing back against tyranny which is exactly what this has become because we have all done what was asked of us. We flattened the curve, and did not come anywhere near to overwhelming our health care system. We have a transvestite pediatrician as the sole advisor to the governor that anyone sees. The legislature has had enough, the people who actually do things have had enough. The sheep still want to shelter in place and they are welcome to do so. With these first small steps, I can see many other counties including my own soon following suit.

Well that didn't take very long. County number two, the county the state capitol is in, just announced that they too are going to ignore the Governor's orders.

And the dominoes continue to fall. County number three has revolted. The three to our immediate west. We should be next.

Eastern states here are doing there own thing the PM outlined a 3 stage plan little bits at a time but leaving it up to the premiers of each state at what progress they take to come out of the Covid-19 umbrella.
The abottoir fiasco over east has seen a spike with 17 new cases wonder if the virus can survive in the cold and on raw meat so the east is still behind the 8 ball.
Our premier has kept our boarders shut as the east is an issue we are allowed up to 10 people in a group now however regional travel is still out unless your an essential worker with a letter you have to produce on demand from the police to prove your employed and your job requires regional travel.

A couple tried a few times to break a regional check point their last attempt ended up with him face down in the dirt with check point police piled on top of him not regulars either their kit was not normal issue now both under arrest and she I think said she wore the uniform, 12 months jail & $50,000 fines each could be on the cards.
I praise our premier for his actions in the boarder lock down its tough for those wanting to visit ex-east but they dont have the virus under the hammer yet which may help us and possibly be a catalyst for our succession.
We have only had 1 new case but rumours are that it was a false alarm if so thats nearly 2 weeks without any new infections.

10 of us got out on our bikes today our first big ride in any No.'s and fairly tore up the black top on some empty back roads as it was a good release of tension for all and great to be riding with chaps I have been riding with for the last 36 years I am slowly learning how to ride my 1199 Tricolore.
It's an animal far scarier than my V4S as today was the day to really rip it in the gears to see what all the big banger 2 cycl torque is all about.

Mothers day tomorrow and we are all going on our bikes as a family of four (My wife, self, son & his GF) to a chocolate factory near Margaret River to treat my wife then go to a nice twisty road she likes for her to have a little fun.

Stay safe keep calm and hopefully for you all the worst hopefully is ebbing where you live and the lockdowns will end but forever changed the demographics of our planet now. Cheers CINDERS

Its no different to an NBC attack and all the training we did in the Military, you have to wait until the Ronshum readings come down before you start to peel off the kit and resume operations and breath fresh air.

Went for lunch to Dunsborough what a fiasco the social distancing was out the window, effing dickheads people just don't get it and if they keep being stupid about it then the lock down will be inplace again with perhaps more stringent measures.

I see Ovidio Italyicon is trying to come out of it but I think on everyones mind is a possible second wave I feel for you over there best medicine if you can is get on your Moto-Guzzi and rip it or down the range to cap off a few mag's.

Gil-- Absolutely right!! I even pulled out my old NBC manuals to show my Wife and Son what to do. They thought I was nuts to dilute bleach for deconning the house.

Well guys, I've been off line completely since 16th March. I see this thread has moved on some 50 pages since then! I haven't had time to catch up with all your news.
We went into lockdown on the 17th of March in Franceicon. I've spent a very enjoyable 8 weeks at our country cottage; no TV, no Internet and no stress! We are all still in good health. One or two trips to the supermarket each week was the only reason to leave the house. No real issues with food supply; which was a concern of mine before the shutdown. But the supply chains have done a great job. minor panic buying in the beginning ceased quickly

We spent the time working on many of the renovation of the house, that's nearly finished. The weather has been fantastic for the most part. Felt like being on early retirement, with the bonus of having all day with my 9 year old daughter.

So the bad news is we are now back in Paris to start work tomorrow. France is lifting the confinement to help restart the economy; but I fully expect the virus to increase again as it's still very present here.

Not having access to TV or Internet meant that we are a little out of touch with whats gone on the last 8 weeks. Our local radio news is really only headlines. I hope our forum friends are keeping safe.

First of all, a few pictures for Steve, as promised last week.
This little church was first built around the middle of the 10th century.
During the centuries past, it has been changed and modified a few times, adding side naves, doors, windows...
150 years ago, it has been brough back to its original aspect, but for the belltower, which is quite particular. Built in 1878.
Some pictures are rotated. I can’t fix it, I’m sorry.
    Attachment 107886Attachment 107887Attachment 107888Attachment 107889Attachment 107890Attachment 107891Attachment 107892Attachment 107893Attachment 107894

Concerning this pandemic, I have reached my “overflow” level.
Since Friday I have started doing the things I feel are right, without listening to the government anymore.
I’ll get to pay for this sooner or later, but I just have had enough.
I’m not doing dangerous or stupid things, I’m just applying coherence.
If the provisions enforced say that a certain distance, mouth and nose protections, disinfectant or gloves are ok to go to work, to ride a bus, to go buy kids clothes, then I apply these rules for going to church, hanging out with friends, going about my normal activities.
If some prohibitions are clearly arbitrary, I don’t respect them.
I follow all the rules, but I apply my own coherent view of the world and decide if and what I’m going to do.
It is very difficult for me, since I was born and raised as a disciplined guy. But there comes a moment in life, when you need to disobey.
If a politician tells me that I can’t go to church because it is not necessary, I give him the virtual finger and go. It is not his power to decide what is or is not important. He has to set rules, and these must be equal for all activities.
Where arbitrary will exhists, there is no democracy. Where democracy reigns, there shall be no arbitrary will by the institutions.
I had a long internal struggle, and now I took my decision.
And I feel good about it!
