I have some anxiety medication that I never used. Got it after my open heart surgery just in case. Not a lot as I told him I didn't need a lot. Not even sure what it is.

Watching the news this afternoon and as usual, it's a load of crap. Talking about the Governor of Georgia filing a lawsuit against the Mayor of Atlanta because she ordered everyone to wear masks. Made him out to be a bad guy of course. He's a Republican, she's a Democrat. What they failed to neglect to report is that he prefaced the entire affair with "I would like to see everyone wear masks" The entire point of contention is that Georgia is one of those states where local governments cannot require their citizens to do something in excess of what the state government requires them to do and such a law requiring people to wear masks is unconstitutional in the State of Georgia, and the US for that matter. So he wants people to wear masks, he's just saying the government cannot make them wear them. I knew that before they broadcast the clip because I get my news from sources that actually report it accurately. Most unfortunately do not.

By keeping herself on the front news page, keeps eyes on her.
The Gov is a supporter of wearing masks, just doesn't see the need to have a special law or mandate.
People know to wear masks.......... well some do.

She held a big news conference early July inside talking about a young girls death, racial justice and police accountability to a over packed room. Wore her mask early on then removed it when she was up to speak.
She already knew that she, her husband and one of her children had tested positive for coronavirus. Another child tested negative while two others still needed to be tested.
But didn't passed that along until a day or two after that news conference.

Really Positive or campaign marketing ploy ?

In Australiaicon here Victoria is looking a disaster and very worrying the govt stuffed up and sms'ed people they were free to leave when in truth they still had to stay in the hotel, then we have the twit who thought it was a joke he was infected got others infected and then he died yeah it was a fkn joke alright this is what we will always struggle with in this world at this time numpties like that and others who tote guns and over run parliment as their rites. Now that the writing is on the wall believable figures or not this virus is a serious threat and if it morphs into infecting the birds then brother kiss your *** goodbye as we will never rid the planet of it.
I cannot believe the stupidity of some that treat this as a joke the only thing one can wish for is those that treat it this way get infected and cark it to make room for those of us trying to do our bit to protect our families and countries from this scourge.

This thing just did not happen over a protracted period it just took off and infected the world at a rather alarming rate say what you may but easy way is to disguise it as liquid perfume orwhat ever get people to just let it loose all over the world. Why are most countries economies struggling and yet one place is not really feeling the effects of the business decline hhmmmm wonder what country that is!
Where ever you are guys stay safe care for your families as they struggle with this thing as well and if we do get to the other side then the world we be a very different one indeed. CINDERS O A O

Masks are really for one thing and thats to keep particles of whatever out of the circulatory system.
One sneeze from a person who is A symptomatic and doesn't know he has the virus (just like a flu) and you gobbl;e it down unknowingly as it floats around..........and bang you too are a statistic.
So in many environments such as close quarter, its ALWAYS a good idea, buses/tubes/shops.
We are in the UKicon making it compulsory to wear masks inside ALL retail shops from next week.
My take on it all is, we need to be practising all of this as winter approaches, and I think the normal 600,000 flu deaths each year here can be reduced if we always wear the masks.

There are always those out there like Trump who think a mask is a waste of time......as his closest aids go down with the virus. See he had his first press conference wearing one.......now thats eating humble pie, and backing down on how dangerous it really is!!

W.H.O is saying this thing is air borne it can last I think 72 hours on plastic surfaces so who knows how long it can drift for they also said it lasts a long time on your eyes due to the moistness there so its virulent, adaptable and when we get a vaccine for it we will see how long before it morphs. They are saying the vaccine may only protect you for 3 months so its all like a craps game throw the dice and see what happens.............................

How our media reports the news in order of importance:

Covid cases continue to rise at record levels with most states seeing a resurgent 2nd wave

Hospitals are being overwhelmed in many locations

    Deaths continue to rise

New unemployment claims over 1 million again this week continuing this record streak.

Every one of those headlines is true. They are also designed to create panic and they are succeeding. Because this is all they report. They go into great depth detailing how these headlines came about. But through deceptive editing and omission, they don't tell the real story.

    The real story:

Covid cases are rising at dramatic levels because our testing is now 6 to 10 times what it was during the peak of the pandemic. The rate of positives per test has gone down, the rate of new positives for all these tests has declined significantly and is proportionally, no where indicative of any surge or increase in the rate of infection. If anything, it's showing the rate of infection is in decline. And there is no 2nd surge, it's simply a continuation of the first as it moves to the more rural areas.

Hospitals are being overwhelmed because all those patients who needed care but were denied care as they wanted to keep the hospitals free for the covid crisis that never occurred are now allowed to be treated. There is a 2 and a half month backlog on all these patients. Covid patients in these hospitals make up only 30% of all patents so THEY are not the ones overwhelming the system and the system isn't overwhelmed at all. If one hospital is full, they transport the patients to a nearby one that isn't

Deaths continue to rise because a few people are still dying. The rate is a fraction of what it was at the peak, in fact it is well within the normal daily death rate in this country. In fact with the exception of about 2-3 weeks at the peak, the average daily death rate in the US has been BELOW average for this year.

While new unemployment claims remain high, the number of individuals going back to work is even higher. Unemployment is going down and has been for a month and at a rate which is much higher than predicted. There is ALWAYS turnaround in jobs. Even during the best of times there are new unemployment claims but reporting that, and not reporting new employment is simply irresponsible.

Aragorn you seem up to speed on this just one thing is can you check what were the number of deaths in the US in the period say Feb-June 2019 compared to the same period this year Feb-June 2020 keeping the 2019 figure as a base line. As the firgures we are getting here from our news show the Covid - 19 deaths in the USAicon at 138,000 with freezer trucks being employed to take the passed persons away with 100,000 new cases. One way or the other the figures if availible should show if porkies are being told this should discount MVA's as they are a seperate entity to what we are trying to fathom here. TIA

This was what I was trying to pass along from the Nurse we know:

" a Nurse at our biggest local hospital. They've had a big increase in hospitalizations in the last 3-4 weeks or so. She said most were patients with existing conditions that required near constant Monitoring and Evaluation but weren't treated during our long lock down time."

Any of these cases that passed away were more likely listed on the Covid death list. Gov pays more $$.

Anyone see the 21 year old that crashed his motorcycle and died, he ended up on the Covid death list........... ??
