Rate of increase is going down in Pennsylvania. Not by a lot and they can't say it is a trend yet but at least it isn't increasing.

Walmart trip this morning to get the new Star Wars movie and a few things the wife wanted for baking. I was having some problems buying exactly what she wanted. Milk was fine but eggs were low. Butter was fine but no margarine at all. Looked in the toilet paper aisle and it was all empty still but I spotted nearly a full pallet on the top shelf right in the middle of the TP we use, Charmin mega rolls so I grabbed a pack. The wife keeps saying we don't need it as we already have two packs but we are stuck for at least a month now and I have memories of going through a roll at day. These mega rolls do seem to last longer. Ordered my grandson's Easter gift yesterday and had them ship it directly to them. Won't be seeing them for Easter. We have discovered how to have group video calls so that helps some.

Kind of quiet here at the moment. People seem to be settling in to the new normal. Me, I'm bored out of my mind. Still have the cough and feel off. Told the wife it's tough having time off at home and feeling bad. Tough feeling motivated to do anything. Weather has been gloomy and damp.

I'm going stir crazy with cabin fever here in Alberta, talked with my brother down in Minnesota and it's the same for him.
I go out every few weeks for cigarettes and liquor and the wife works at Walmart so she takes care of groceries.
Gas is the lowest I've seen in 30 years but besides the wife going to work we don't go anywhere.
Our outdoor range closed down today. Grocery stores, liquor stores, gas stations and the pot stores are open.
People have to eat and the rest are government cash cows. Thefts are up.

I have been approached a couple times by low-life trying to sell me toilet paper at inflated prices...but no..I just tell them to save it for their own wiping and leave them standing there looking stupid...

That is more or less the situation in small town Oklahoma. It's tight but functional for the time being...

I wonder how long it will be before we all told that we mustn't get out of bed in the morning because the risk of catching the "virus" is too great?

We are told that we must NOT touch our face but what do we do if we get that unbelievably itchy little itch on our face, as I do sometimes. One could try the "remote itch relieving" method of scratching the itch through the shirt method or is that BANNED also, in case one's shirt has become infected by another's cough or sneeze. Or is one now required to always carry several packets of sterile surgeon's gloves, ready to deploy, and relieve that annoying little itch?

Our regional restrictions are in force now if your caught by the Police who have road blocks in place with no valid reason leaving your region as I think there are 9 in this state of Western Australia you can possibly be fined $50,000.oo/AUD or 12 months in jail.
Went to try and get some Methylated spirits or Isoprophyl yesterday nope I have a little here of both plenty of bleach I did jag a Black & Gold Eucalyptus disinfectant that I will take to work as we get a start next Monday as hand wash for self, we have a cruise ship that the govt assisted the tourists off of and onto planes back to Germany but now the ship refuses to leave as it says its awaiting medical suplies.
There are 6 ships off the coast over east the govt has said go back to your home ports, on the up side the private hospitals have kicked in and opened up this free's up intensive care beds which gives us 4,000 critical care beds and 105,000 extra nursing staff this is a good thing as we are sailing into the peak season and even though its slowed now is not the time for complacency.

I find it easy to busy my self there is always a good book, you tube, bikes to clean or service, cooking for my family like Ovidio does for his family which I find rewarding, guns to clean or just re oil and check over as I have already had 5 months off between jobs so not phased as my wife and I have role swapped she is the bread winner (Ive done my time being away on & off for 20 years) we have been lucky in a sense with me having an industrial accident helped us did not help me much and the injury still plagues me 11 years later and will till I perch it.

But I feel for you out there this virus its invisible, it has changed forever the demographics of the world we live in and will for generations to come the debts countries are going into to fight this virus and keep afloat will affect generations to come for a long time deficets will be the norm for allot of Govt's and will seriously scar mentally allot of people particularly the health workers at the coal face witnessing this viruses deadly work.
I hope we all get through this to see each other (Well electronically that is) to enjoy our passions and collecting to share within the group I feel priveledged to be a part of this and rely pretty heavily on the information gleaned here as a no B/S assessment of the real deal whats going on in each others country town/county or country.

Our petrol in town where we live is still $1.35/AUD a liter or $5.00/AUD/Gallon or $3.30/USD/Gallon

So what do the younger ones think of corona?....I mean really? I ask my new Oompa-Loompa just what does she think about this debacle? A rather guarded response from the young lady.....but it cost her her first 'new' job at a local restaurant as she got let-go from the git-go as spring-break and cov hit at the same time...worried about her little brother getting sick...worried about her parent's work situation as Pop is out of town working and mother is in health-care(worried about Mother)....We eat cheese-burgers and fix John Deeres....

Currently I am a live in care giver, i have been taking care of my 84 year old grand dad the last few years. ( cooking, laundry, cleaning etc.) He is very scared about all of this because of his Diabetes, emphysema, COPD and congestive heart failure. Its like a nearly filled out row on a bingo card. I have only left the house twice since our shelter in place order but when i do i have to take precautions. i have m3 double layered charcoal filter masks, rubber gloves,hand sanitizer, the list goes on.
I left the house twice since the 11th. Both times the stores here in northern California were pretty trashed. Cans of bean and chili gone. Pastas, ramen and macaroni empty. No eggs, cheap cuts of meat or paper products. it stuck me as funny because there was fillet Minion, lobster and king crab in the cold cases. But no ox tail or hamburger to be found. Sugar was completely empty. the cheap and the basic seem to be in high demand. The high priced stuff sits around on the shelves. Back to basics.
