Did the Japanese Military use Polyester equipment?

    Gentlemen,

A friend of mine has a Type 14 holster "rig" with what appears to be a simple expedient sling made of Nylon.
It is olive in color with a white and black (very faint) Spaghetti width line down the center of the strap. It has no buckle and is affixed via two black snaps on each end. Is this WW II Jap military?

    Thanks,

I don't think that strap is issue... They should have a leather strap, like this stolen pic.

No the straps are not Japaneseicon. They would have used leather as BAR said or canvas for the tropical straps and holsters.
