    US M-1965 Jacket

I've had this US M-1965 jacket for a few years and it was given to me by a friend having been owned by her late husband. I believe that the chap had purchased it because he wanted a surplus US military jacket to wear occasionally, not because he was buying it as a collector.

The jacket does appear to be in excellent condition, although it has obviously seen a certain amount use.

Please feel free to make any comments, although I don't have any specific questions to ask on this item.

Do you have a liner? There were a couple of different types. The early style was a mohait frieze similar to the M51 liner. The later version was a quilted nylon, similar in weight to a poncho liner. Both styles buttoned into the ifield jacket.

Yes, it's an M65...I wore one for a cool weather jacket from time I was seventeen until I discarded it as worn out when I was about fifty. I would expect to see the nylon and wool batten liner in it as shown. Those can be had if you need one.
    Regards, Jim

Unfortunately not. I'm not sure that the chap who purchased the surplus jacket ever had the liner but it's not available now anyway.

Jim, did the Canadianicon army use the M65 jacket or did you just have one for your personal use off-duty, thanks?
