    Memories

Sometimes when someone asks a question and I know I've posted something on the subject in the past, I look for that post. This generally takes a while and leads to looking at many old posts to find the right one.

Really makes you wonder what all I've posted over the years here. I've been here at least 10 although it doesn't seem like that. And I know many of you have been here longer than that.

The discussion on Covid-19 should be an interesting read 10 years from now.

I came across my medical incident and ended up reading the entire thread again. You guys were a lot of support back then. I can still remember my frustration at not being able to access this site from the hospital because it was blocked as a "gun site". While I was still confused and couldn't physically type for those two weeks I wanted to read it at least.

I'm not suffering from PTSD anymore, I don't think anyway, so that's not an issue. Still in a fair amount of pain which I wish would go away. It's not severe and it is manageable, just enough to remind me I had surgery I guess. My fast temper hasn't gone away either, trying to work on that. I cool down just as fast fortunately.

I just think it's great that this site is here maintaining all this minor stuff along with all the important gun information.

The PTSD will lessen with time but will reappear at the worst possible times. Trust me I know. The pain is yours for life, like the rest of us with damages, it's a club of sorts. I don't mean to show no concern, quite the opposite...I'm right with you, it wakes me up at night.

I too find the companionship here is good for mental health, specially while we're undergoing house arrest of sorts. I was on the road some years back and stopped a hotel we were used to using and found out it had filters in place. No guns or anything violent thinking like...I told them they were practicing censorship which was illegal but it fell on deaf ears. No more staying there after that. Yes, the future reading of Covid should be enlightening...
    Regards, Jim

It is helping my sanity as well along with making me acutely aware of ho much I enjoy the thrill of the hunt and the follow up thrill of researching and gaining knowledge here about the items I find. I do miss Peters insights. Hope he is as well as can be given his circumstances.

Is anyone corresponding with him? I sure think it appropriate to let him know he is missed as I for one feel in his debit for the knowledge he shared here and am concerned for his well being.

I believe there is someone here with info but couldn't put a finger on them. I have thought about trying to get an address so I can post to him... Perhaps if someone has info they will come forward, they could PM those of us showing interest...?

I hope someone will chime in. Quite certain he could use some encouragement which I am sure many here would be glad to offer myself included.

Agreed moral support from within our ranks would be like a shining light to PL and probably mean the world to him now and I for one woud put pen to paper (Not typed) to just say a cheerio nothing fancy as there is not much one could say except we are all looking forward to having his input again. I just hope when the saga ends he finds his way back to the fold to once again impart his wisdom and knowledge on us so we all learn. So PM with an address and I'll definately send mail his way.

I agree with all of you the PTSD for me was just brought to my attention. I am learning to deal with it. This house arrest is bad for me as i am used to not stopping. I even tried to do some tree cutting here at home an lost a fight with a big dead pine. Found out I am not 25 years old any more. Cant put my fat butt an a 40 foot tree on the ladder at the same time. I due hope we all get thru this with out major problems. Someone will get ahold of Peter.
