    Latest Build Also - AR47

Since we are all sitting at home bored out of our minds, I figured I would share my latest custom AR build. This 7.62x39 AR runs on a Aero Precision lower receiver. The "guts" are a Faxon BCG and Faxon "pencil" barrel with adjustable gas block. This AR has the latest Strike Industries (SI) accessories including their new Gridlock removable hand guard. It also utilizes the SI "Oppressor" linear compensator with JCOMP muzzle brake underneath it. This system gives you all of the advantages of a muzzle brake without the severe side concussion problems normally associated with muzzle brakes.

The only real problem I have had with the rifle involves the magazines. The 10/30 magazines from Pro-Mag tend to not feed properly and the C Products Defense 10 rounds magazines work 90% of the time. If anyone can suggest some reliable 7.62x39 AR magazines, I would appreciate it.

I've never had joy from Promag. The ones that guys here seem to use look like AR mags...but more curve and grey finish.

If you can source them, try the E-lander 10rd steel mag Model No: F99913770 . Purportedly very reliable.

I diod a 7.62x39 build a few years ago. I liked it, though it was not even close to being as accurate as my 5.56 M4gery, even with my Nosler Varmagedon 124 grain reloads. The biggest reason I scrapped the project and sold off the upper was magazines. I never found any that were close to 100% reliable.

Mags and accuracy were the main reasons I ended up with a 300 Black Out build, even though its comparable 125 grain load is about 100 fps lower than the 7.62x39. I could do MAX loads that are 2300 fps, or 50 fps slower than M43) , I settled on 19.2 grains of WW296, .8 grains below max os 20 grains) to be easier on my brass. A far as mags, I have lots of reliable 5.56 mags that also work with .300

    Magazines

The 7.62x39 magazines I got from Midway with my upper were marked AR-Stoner
on the bottom and ASC & 7.62x29 on the follower seemed to work well for me.
    These are 30 rounders.
    They show as in stock.

Thanks. I'm in California so they may or may not ship them to me.
