FOAM!!! I've been robbed by FOAM!!!
That is kind of an interesting piece of foam. Does it come off what you stick it to easily or is it on there forever? I see it has a magnet for the metal. Is simple pressure holding it against the wall?

Simple magnets. Safe and soft enough not to mark car or truck finishes, weighs nothing. This company also has a shooting rest made of the same material. The foam is so dense that you can't compress it yet it has no weight. I've been using there shooting rest since last summer and it too works great. Check out their web site foamactionsports.com.

I've seen these advertised on the internet, but dismissed them because of the foam. I'm up to "here" with gun products using foam protection that breaks down and sticks to the item being protected. By the way, in my neck of the woods, the local game warden can charge you with hunting from a vehicle if you leave your firearm leaning up against your vehicle. REALLY! They actually said that in print.
Some do, some don't; some will, some won't; I might ...

Reminds me of a guy from our hunting camp that leaned his AR with the hot barrel against the front bumper of his wifes car. Not sure if he ever got the melted rubber/plastic/vinyl off that barrel.

Good point on the leaning against the vehicle, that's illegal in PA also.

There doesn't seem to be a problem here in the northeast especially when your at the rifle range. I've used it mainly when I want to get a rifle out of a safe and that rifle always seems to be in the back so those that have to come out first can simply be set up upon the door or outside of the safe.

I believe it is not an issue if the firearm is unloaded. If they catch you with a firearm leaning on or on top of the hood while loaded, you have a problem. A lot of guys sight their rifles in by using the hoods of their trucks so it isn't something too many worry about. I'm always conscious of it as I tend to hunt in areas were a warden may just show up at the parking area. Been spoken to and checked four times which is probably four times more than most people are.
