    Ne3w Member Long time collector

G'Day all. I've been an active collector for a long time with no special direction, just pick up what I like, recently Marlin levers but my most recent is a very nice Enfield No.1 Mk4. The serial numbers seem to indicate mfg at BSA Shirley but the letter prefix could indicate Fazakerley. The numbers are as below:

    Wrist. YF over 354XX

side of receiver No 4 MK1/2(F)FTR
    /53Y354XX

    rear of bolt handle. YF354XX

Ser no. crosses paths with 3XXXX BSA Shirley info and YXXXX Faz serial no. info.

Yes a FTR in 1953 by Fazakerley with F52 rear hand guard band but can anyone tell for sure the manufacturer and approximate year?

This is a nice FTR with great wood and nice sharp rifling, brass butt plate, newer black paint.

    Many thanks in advance.
