    It appears to have had some work done to it in 1951 (date on receiver side above serial number)
    that is possibly when the forend and magazine were serial numbered.

    Many of the 90L8 block were never issued from stores until release - it is nice to see one which was and was well cared for.

    Yes, i paid a good amount for it. But hey, they're still printing money, but they don't make long branch snipers anymore!!!!! I'm absolutely wrapped with the purchase, this being my first sniper rifle. The real bizarre thing is that i bought it from a pawn shop on trademe. i will post some more photo's when it gets delivered.

    Its a great looking rifle! I'm sure you'll be well pleased. Also got my no.4T from the same seller. Breaking up of the late Bruce Gorton's rifle collection by the looks of it.
