    CANADIAN BAN

So how could anyone be able to carry out the impossible plan to ban 1500 models of assault rifles in Canadaicon? Without a registry how can that be anything more than just pandering?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Most of the AR class are in the restricted class like handguns and are therefore registered. The Ruger mini 14 and the M14icon were up until now in the unrestricted class and not registered

Let's not get political and infringe rules guys.

An observation on the practically of the ban .. It's a daunting task for the people who are given the task of enforcement, that's for sure.

Re enforcement, I suppose it's effectively with the ownership of said types.

If someone decides to retain one of the banned types, they would certainly be risking prison time and you wouldn't be able to shoot it anyway....

Scanning the 'very' long list, I see Tippmenn Arms .22lr M4 is on the list, though nominally an AR type, the lower can't be used on a full bore rifle due to the slightly different buffer design and build.

    So it's a dedicated .22lr AR lower.

That can come off for one!

If you wish to discuss the politics of firearms ownership or the practices and policies of various governments attempting to control them, then please use the appropriate venue described in the thread titled Where can I discuss politics and gun legislation issues? (click here).
