FWIW. I fitted one to my PH T4 and it now ejects the 7.62/308 cases.

Some of the photos seem to show a genuine, blackened extractor, some the reproductions ("in the white")

My impression is there are some differences, and I'm not sure why, or if they would make any functional difference?

    Perhaps a deliberate modification.

I bought one of the stainless steel 7.62 extractors as shown in the posts above; not entirely happy with it. It is a little too long in the shank, and not quite the correct shape in the claw, such that the end of the claw sits further away from the bolt-face than an EFD one does.

I went through the exercise of examining and measuring my little stock of "7.62" extractors, obtained from various sources over the years. I found that I have no less than seven different types, some fit and work better than others. My current competition 7.62 No 4 is banging away quite happily using a modified .303 extractor.

I just realized the second photo above shows a .303 extractor, despite the inserted caption.
